G/L Account Summary Codes
The G/L Account Summary Codes screen allows authorized users to select, create, and maintain the general ledger summary codes, by category, that are used for financial reporting purposes.
To access the G/L Account Summary Codes screen, go to Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Chart of Accounts > G/L Account Summary Codes.
The following list is an outline of the processes required to create new general ledger account summary codes for Chart of Accounts. The Base Financial category is mainly used for the base financial system and is the category used for Chart of Accounts. For more information on creating new codes or edit existing summary codes within the Base Financial category, click on a link below.

- Organization Function and Sub Function
- Revenue Type and Source
- Account Classification (Assets)
- Account Classification (Liabilities)
- Account Classification (Fund Equities)
- Account Classification (Revenues)
- Account Classification (Expenses)
Note: The other five categories (Governmental, Proprietary, Fiduciary, Government Wide, and Reconciliation) are used exclusively by the Government Reporting module and are not discussed in the online help.

To delete a summary code, select the summary code to highlight it and click Delete.
The Delete button is hidden or disabled if you do not have the appropriate security permissions. If you are authorized, when you click Delete you are prompted to confirm the deletion.

If needed, click Refresh to repopulate and update the list to include any changes other authorized users may have made. This collapses all code category folders and highlights the first item in the tree.

To print a list of all G/L account summary codes, click Print. Click OK to submit the listing to myReports. This Print button is hidden if you do not have the appropriate security permissions.

To view the usage of a code within the system, expand a category, drill down to a code, select a code to highlight it and click Detail.
