G/L Account Summary Codes

The G/L Account Summary Codes screen allows authorized users to select, create, and maintain the general ledger summary codes, by category, that are used for financial reporting purposes.

To access the G/L Account Summary Codes screen, go to Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Chart of Accounts > G/L Account Summary Codes.

The following list is an outline of the processes required to create new general ledger account summary codes for Chart of Accounts. The Base Financial category is mainly used for the base financial system and is the category used for Chart of Accounts. For more information on creating new codes or edit existing summary codes within the Base Financial category, click on a link below.

  1. Fund Category and Type
  2. Organization Function and Sub Function
  3. Revenue Type and Source
  4. Account Classification (Assets)
  5. Account Classification (Liabilities)
  6. Account Classification (Fund Equities)
  7. Account Classification (Revenues)
  8. Account Classification (Expenses)

Note: The other five categories (Governmental, Proprietary, Fiduciary, Government Wide, and Reconciliation) are used exclusively by the Government Reporting module and are not discussed in the online help.
